Beer Tracker Update

Update for Nov 24th
Location: Wayside Tavern, Snellville, GA

-New Belgium (Fort Collins, CO)
"2 Below Ale"
Seasonal Ale
A nice winter ale, good balance of flavors and hops with hits of winter spices. Has more flavor than many 1 note winter lagers.

- Founders Brewing (Grand Rapids, MI)
"Centennial IPA"
American IPA
Founders' is just now spreading well south of the Mason Dixon line and they are highly regarded are one of the best in the nation and the work. The Centennial IPA does not disappoint. Bitter and sweet with great balance and aroma.

-Pyramid Brewing (Seattle, WA)
"Haywire Hefeweizen"
Unfiltered Wheat
Don't know much about this micro brewery/pub chain. Roots go back to the beginning of the micro brew movement but seemed to have changed hands. A wheat of the vein of Blue Moon, a little bland.

First Post!

Ok, first post. Real quick- I got some spare time cuz I aint got no job or nothing, i need one, but anyway, here is my all inclusive blog cuz that can cover anything I gotta have some distractions from going crazy.
First up...Sports Update!(sorry if you don't like football...)

A lot of good football has come and gone. The Falcons lost, and im just tired of talking about it. I'm not going to rail on Keith Brooking  and his terrible play (especially on that final 3rd and 16 with 2mins left in the 4th quarter where he bit on the underneath receiver and let the tight end go wide open and get just enough yards for the first down ending any chances for a come back...)
The Dawgs won their bowl but what a disappointing season!
Now Stafford and Knowshown are gone to the NFL. They won't get the pleasure of calling me their fellow alumnus! I think both will be in for decent but somewhat disappointing careers, but to be honest that's true for most highly regarded college stars. Too bad to throw away all those hours those two spent studying for exams......

Anywho....
The "BCS possibly National Champion or close to anyway Game" is Thursday night. I usually defend the BCS as the best system possible for the restrictions of college football but this year the Big 12 really blew it for the BCS. Its not hard to figure out that Texas should have played for the Big 12 title and would be playing Florida tomorrow. Each team in question had one loss, so use this simple system: Texas Tech's loss came at home, and thats really bad. Oklahoma's loss came on a neutral field, so its neutrally bad. Texas' loss came on the road ( and in the final seconds) and that's the least amount of bad. I know Oklahoma was playing great at the end of the season, and might have a better chance of beating the hated Gators, but the Big 12's system of tiebreakers ended with Oklahoma as the South division champ thanks to the BCS giving OK a tiny advantage over TEX. A lot of other people are complaining about this right now so I'll move on.

I like Florida by two touchdowns. Oklahoma is better than Ohio State has been, but their D is sad and Florida's is punishing. Honestly is there any team in the nation that stands a fair chance against them? Of course you can beat any team and any day in the season, and something crazy can always happen, but 9 out of 10 times Florida beats anyone. Only USC has the talent on Defense to try to match up, and they still lose if they are playing in this game. Plus Florida has Teabow...the guy that i hate but in real life is really nice so he's hard to hate and that pisses me off....

Ok, So I will try not to devote so much to sports on my posts, but I had a lot of Football to talk about and soon it will all be over...and then what...Basketball? Hockey? yeah, right...
